The Spanjaard Group of Companies was founded in 1960 and has today grown into a listed JSE company that is highly respected for the manufacture of special lubricants and allied chemical products for industrial, marine and domestic use. From 1960 to 1969 the company was the South African distributor for Molyslip Products from the UK. In 1969 Spanjaard purchased the outright ownership of the Molyslip brand name covering South Africa and a large number of mostly developing countries.

The group maintains its own research and development facility and product formulations are constantly under review to enable the group to supply products with the latest technology.
